The Gilpip pre-build experience

New to Gilpip?

Don’t know what to expect?

Let this guide show you what will happen in your first home-building experience with Gilpip, from making the first call to Gilpip to commissioning the build.

1. Book your initial consultation

Call us on 03 5977 1607 and book a time for your initial complimentary consultation. We can usually fit you in the next day.

7. Meet Laura, our interior designer & colour consultant

If Town Planning is required for your property (highly likely), you will come in and meet with Laura, our designer and colour coordinator to select your external colours and materials. Laura can walk you through council requirements and any limitations or restrictions there may be, so there are no surprises down the track that a certain material or colour is not acceptable. You may wish to have a discussion about your internal selections at this stage, however you will have ample time once your job goes to Contracts stage to fine tune these selections.

8. Your house gets designed

Christian, Laura and our draftsperson will then finalise drawings for your home, all according to your specifications.

9. Review the designs

Here you will have time to thoroughly review your Working Drawings to ensure you are 100% happy with the plan and all items previously discussed and requested are included.

9. Review The Designs

10. Agree to the build stage

Once the planning and other permits and documents have been received, your Contracts and Specifications will be prepared for you to review and Sign.  Gilpip will take care of the rest by arranging your building permit and all other relevant documents, and are on hand at all times to answer any questions along the way. During this time it is a great opportunity for you to further think about your internal finishes in preparation for your next appointment with Laura.
